The Excalibur was designed and built about the time Cagiva bought Morini and I'm betting it wouldn't have been built otherwise. Cagiva is also responsible for the Dart, which was a Morini engine stuffed into a Cagiva Freccia 125 chassis. Much more attractive - like a mini Paso.

Yeah, in both cases it is hard to believe that either company came up with those monstrocities.

I guess if cheap enough an Excalibur could be an engine donor to get a 501 Camel back on the road.

Fred Heistand (the dealer where I bought my first Morinis, in Manheim, PA) built a 500 Strada with an Excalibur engine in it. I never got the chance to ride it, but from all accounts it was lots of fun.

At the last "Morini Barbeque" I went to, Hermy (Herdan Corp., the importer) gave away an Excalibur as a door prize!

Its typically 1980s metric cruiser styling. Honda Magna, Suzuki Madura, Kawi eliminator etc.

Lord knows how you look at a harley and come up with any of those.

That's what I always wondered.  They're like if you took a picture of a chopper and then compressed
it horizontally.    There is nothing cool looking at all about them.

The 750 Nevada has the same ugly.

Found a photo of this Morini. Looks like the photo could have been taken at the White Rose Motorcycle Club grounds in Jefferson, PA.

It's not that bad.  If you replaced that fuel tank, it could look great!  After you replaced the rest of the bike...

I’ve just noticed I’ve got 14k on that rear tire and the wear bars aren’t showing yet,…most expensive tire ive ever bought but the longest lasting..never felt issues in the wet but don’t go there often and do not push the envelope ..seriously impressed. It’s one huge chunk of rubber
