I don't know if Fins are ahead or behind in body art fashion, but it's interesting to see how few tattoos and body piercings both in the band and in the crowd.

Concert was not in Finland (and either were audience).

.  The keyboard they tried to make look tough and heavy metal with the fake pipes is pretty funny tho!

Pipes? Well, there is this kind of monument in Helsinki (capital of Finland).

Scandinavian musics that's not death metal or bluegrass covers of older rock songs? Is this even allowed :P . Ah its night wish, familiar with them via Areyon who i heard about via Toehider.

Toehider is great, but you did that backwards

Don't know if you're familiar with any of Arjen's projects beyond Ayreon, but there's a new Star One track out recently that I'm pretty psyched about

What do Finns think of the Swedish heavy metal band Sabaton?

https://youtu.be/epeQwq-aYV0

Well, I could guess Finns will love this particular song of theirs .

Generally speaking Finland  is more known of heavy metal and Sweden opposite pop music.
Finland's bands like Children of Bodom, Arctic Sonata, Stratovarious etc.

... but I'm minority. My mom is Finnish Swede and my father is actually Swede. From Southern Sweden (Skåne). Basically from old Denmark's area.
So I guess I'm one kind of ''mongrel''

I definitely know Sweden more for metal than pop, but that's mostly because of the '90s Gothenburg bands.

Also, it's Sonata Arctica

Right, (Sonata Arctica) . That simply shows that I will not listening speed metal, death metal etc. Nightwish is heavy enough for me.

And what comes to playing guitar alone, not long time a ago died heavy guitarist (Alexi Laiho / Finn) has never been my favorite.
Not either neo-classical style Yngwie Malsteen (Swe). For me emotions are more important than speed. Or ideas of solos more important than how difficult/hard those are to play. So my favorites tends to be older era British players like David Gilmour, Ritchie Blackmore, Gary More, Brian May, Mark Knopfler etc.
Ok, I admit I have one Ibanez S-serie guitar (extremely thin, also neck ... '' a gun'' for playing fast), but I still love my double cut (chambered body) Gretsch (bit like Malcom Young from AC/DC) more. Strats are fine but I like shorter scale neck. Do not either need Floyd Rose tremolos (Stevie Vai has never been favorite). Actually bigsby (Brian Setzer) would be just fine. To keep guitar in tune is just bit more challenger.

I'd almost argue that Nightwish is heavier than Sonata Arctica

I like a non-recessed Floyd rose for a number of reasons, but I almost never go Steve Vai on it. Bigsby setups can definitely look cool on the right guitar, but they are the absolute worst to re-string. People complain about the difficulty of setting up a Floyd Rose, but I'll take one of those over a Bigsby any day (speaking as a former professional guitar tech)

Perhaps not, but not as fast tempo either (speed metal?)

Did you face something like this ever?

That is one of my guitars. And one of ''partcasters''. Just to mention something else, I have for example Jaguar/Jazzmaster tremolo in strat body.
It is pretty fine (the feeling).

With the Gretsch

... I have changed all hardwares to gold color. I also changed pickguard. I wanted to make the guitar someway special/personal
(even as it was already limited serie model).  Same time I put locking tuners, better pickups etc.

I also took that fixed bridge away and put this instead.

If you do not know that beforehand then for example this Eastman guitar has it originally ... see here:
https://youtu.be/i6y1rx61Qfo

I also add string butler on that guitar. Seriously; I think it works better than those Greatch with real bigsby. And it looks almost as great.

Over all I like that guitar. It has chambered body, body wood is not made from mahogany (like many of these) but cheaper basswood. But that makes it lighter as well. I was bit worry that it could even be neck heavy, but luckily not. And bit different tremolo just helps on that. And yes, I like that shorter neck vs strats or my Ibanez. It has become my favorite guitar right now (even as some looks it bit long ... why I play exactly that of my guitars).
