John Madden died at age 85.

He was the BEST commentator......ex plained the plays so that anyone could understand the intricacies. I really liked him.

I enjoyed him on the sidelines and in the booth. The Raiders had all kinds of "personalities" like The Snake, Big Ben, the Mad Bomber, Biletnikoff, Hayes, Blanda, Hendricks, Branch, Casper, Guy and of course Al Davis. Madden was larger than life and all emotion on the sidelines.

Rooted for them except when Fairbanks' Pats were robbed by a bad call in the playoffs.
