I used mine again yesterday. Had to start my daughter's car to move it into the driveway to replace the battery. Worked like a charm. Her 2013 OE Motorcraft battery lasted over 8 years..... that's pertty good.
I'd much rather ask for forgiveness than ask for permission.

I know it's on the Project Farm video, but interesting that nobody opted for the Super Cap types.

These packs probably sit in a trunk or pack for long periods and LiPo's can discharge in that sort of timescale. Another problem is LiPo's don't really like sitting at full capacity for storage, form what I understand they perfer 60-80% storage charge.

Haven't purchased yet but certainly thinking of one for next year, seen a few guys being caught out and bikes are pretty hard to bump. My Ducati 1098 purchased in 2007 was next to impossible to bump unless you had an incline, God knows what the latest offerings are like. Interestingly my BMW R9T, has a jumper point under the seat, which is a really nice assuring touch.

I've carried an 800A cheapie from Amazon for several years and it's always worked for the bike. Was especially helpful with the Breva 1100 startus interruptus.

UPDATE: Decided it was time to replace my old unit with this one: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B099F4CW4R/ref=sw_img_1?smid=&psc=1
