It’s Time for Another Episode of the Wildguzzi Quiz Show!
« on: January 29, 2022, 09:22:53 AM »

Today’s category: Name that Gasket!

All proceeds benefit the slowwitted house wrench at the Moto Grappa.

So ... I am getting ready for Moto Grappa Tech Days next month.

Aside from cleaning the squalid pigsty the shop has become from my slovenly habits, I am trying to order parts and maintenance supplies.  In the course of that, I have come across “inventory” I did not know I had, buried as the items were, under archaelogical past digs.  Shameful.   :embarrassed:

But just as reprehensible as that standing alone is, I am not sure what I even have, thus this post asking for help in ID’ing some gaskets.

Here goes …

Overview -

Individually -

EV?

Griso?

Norge?

???

Many thanks from the Moto Grappa!

Bill

Looks like you have more gaskets than bikes. Better find something they will fit and added to the garage.

Thanks, John.   :thumb:

And, exactly my thinking, tho with five Guzzis in my moto-harem, adding another seems greedy.

That said, wonder if one of those will fit the V100?

Thanks, Steve.  Certainly not surprised that guru-you could ID all.  Thought it odd that it took 150+ views before anyone here even responded.

Cannot believe I still had what I suppose were leftover Ballabio gaskets.  I'll ask on the V11 board to see if anyone there wants them.  Not sure about shelf life of gaskets, but all seem supple -- well except for those metal head gaskets for the Griso.

And, will post on Ghetto to see if those Griso sump gaskets are the fancy green ones that Pete, Lord Roper, recommends.  Might have ordered those after his counsel there and then just forgot.  Need to check on that little rubber thingamabob -- apologies for the techspeak  -- anyway.

So, thanks, Steve, for your ID'ing those for me.  PM or text your USPS addy and I'll send your prize.

1921!

Yes & no.

I and many here owe you lots for your decades of generously sharing your time and expertise.

But, Steve, I didn't say I was sending you a valuable prize.

Come sempre, molte grazie!

Bill,
So do you have a big box of random gaskets right next to the big box of gloves?  And if so can I bring all of my extra gaskets and just toss them in???

Fortunately I don’t have that Magic “BAN WAND” Bill and I still haven’t figured out what you are talking about.

Fret not, Dan.  You join a large and august group of men and women here and overseas who have had a hard time figuring out what I am talking about!

I often find myself among them.

Will give you a call sometime to explain ... tho it's not worth your time.

Off now to supper out with my better half, who is a charter member of that "large and august group."

Ciao.
