First snow at our new house, a couple weeks after we bought it. Need to update, we've done so much work since then. but it was nice

Some weeks ago in Fjällnäs, Sweden. This is about mid-day. The sun just barely gets over the horizon.

That's a wonderful photo!
And I'm envious.
This was taken not far away from me, twelve years ago. Seems the days of good skiing around here are gone

I'll see your Vermont, and raise you one Juneau (the house I built with sweat equity (now there is a story) before moving out of Alaska...):

It looks great.  Other than the foundation the VT house is all sweat and a lot of weekends.

Here's a favorite, the team pulling hard on the way home. Been hard to train them regularly with the crazy weather, thirty something above last week and thirty below today. But it's great fun now having both pups running in the team...

Least favorite, the old Ski Doo back in the garage, third time in the last four years. Any experts out there on old Skandics with the 503 motor...

If I want snow it's up to Mt. Lemmon at 8000 feet. 3-6000 is perfect winter driving in Az.

Big Jon, love seeing those Huskies! They love being active, 30 below is a bit much.
If I could see their faces, I bet they're smiling. Keep a good supply of treats, they burn off the calories.

Oh, they look so happy! Living the life they love!
