Need help on 8V Norge

NM requires that they visually confirm the VIN number on the bike to get tagged here. I need to move the tank back a bit to uncover the VIN number. I have never removed the tank or loosened it before since I always had it dealer serviced. It is my understanding the two small upper side panels need to come off. The one on the left side has the key hole for seat removal. How is the front of this piece unfastened? I cannot locate the fastener or tab that is holding the front of this piece.

It looks like my 1200 Sport. Pull out on the back and then the front has a tab that hooks under the tank/frame (can't remember which). There is also an allen head screw involved, that should be obvious under the seat.

It's similar to the setup on the 1200 sport. Those two small side pieces have an allen screw at the rear under the seat.

In the front there is a rubber grommet at the bottom that you just gently wiggle and pull out and then it slides down from and off the tank.
