Finding a Norge post
« on: February 22, 2022, 12:08:08 PM »
Hi Folks,
I'm researching the, it would seem, familiar question of making my 2007 Norge handlebars more comfortable. My wrists ache after a 200 or so mile ride. I've read on the site to look up "Huzo's Mods", but for the life of me I can't find the post?. If anyone can point me in that direction please do.
So, here's what I was thinking of doing. Buying a pair of black "drag bars", they look like Vincent straights to me, cutting the centre section out, which would leave me with two bars with a slight bend at the part where they slide into the handlebar risers. Welding a plug in to take the fixing bolt. This would leave me with bars which bend more towards me, making them more comfortable?, It would seem I might have to twist them upward a bit to clear the tank on full lock too.
Comments please?.
Thanks,
Alan.

Get a set of Helibars made specifically for the early Norges.   The later Norges bars are very nearly, if not the same, as the Helibars.

Installing a set of 1.5 inch risers made a material difference for me on my 07 RED Norge.

I put the risers on mine. I did it because I had installed hand guards and I needed the extra clearence.

I wondered about that too. Stelvio handguards would never fit on my 08 Norge's bars due to lack of clearance with the fairing. Have pondered making small bat wings out of some black sheet plastic I have to extend the fairing over my hands better.
