Final drive flange bolt torque?

Well for the second time my V7ii has a leak from the final drive. First time was at about 2000 mls and sorted by the main dealer.
Now we are at 9500 mls and the leak is back, as before, oil on the bottom lip of the final drive housing and spotting around the wheelrim.
Can anyone please tell me (as I cant find it anywhere in the manual!) the torque setting for the final drive flange bolts? I have the 2 new large paper gaskets to put in there, one each side of the spacer, but dont know how tight those bolts need to go when reassembling.
Many thanks Gurus!

And you’re sure the final drive isn’t slightly overfilled, or the breather possibly blocked? Any chance you rode through varying atmospheric conditions recently?

Those four bolts are more interesting than they look..you torque those ‘last’ to close the box of the swing arm.
Leave them loose as you put the axle thru and torque it all the way on the axle, pulling the bevel box into a correct orientation w the axle and swing arm. Don’t know if it would effect a rear seal

The manual I have (2Q000105 ) for V7II states a torque of 25 Nm or 18.4 Lb.Ft. Usually I use a spec of 20 Lb.Ft . I use a 3” wobble extension with Allen hex bit & loc-tite. The manual show a stud & nut . My V7MkII came with Allen head bolts . In 25k Mi. I’ve had the final drive off 3 times . Once @ 1k Mi. To lube splines & twice since . Same reason . I do it when changing rear tire as I’m in that deep it’s only another 1/2 Hr. Or so . Also I put witness marks on all fasteners so I can monitor stuff @ a glance No issues yet ! The scoot is quite trouble free !

The rear cover bolts should be 18.5 ftlbs-22ftlbs. crisscross torque w/assembled. 8mm bolts used to be 22-23 into aluminum years ago. Since around 07 the number has changed to 18.44 on 8mm. They used to put in the service book specs for nominal bolt size, not posted anymore.
If you can't find something keep going back w/dates of service manual, you may find your answers in Heron Head SmallBlocks manuals.
Yes, don't forget what Chuck says about the 4 mount bolts Very Important!
