1968 V700 Rejuvination

Best looking of the loop series ,what craftsmanship ,attention to detail.A former Harley rider bought one and promptly got a large Moto Guzzi tattoo on his forearm.I rode it and its handling was better than the Eldo I owned 40 years ago.

Dave, any gas cap sealing issues? my A-series '69 isn't great in that aspect.

During periods of lay up without gas, the rubber seal shrinks.  Until the seal swells from the gas fumes, I only keep about a half tank of gas in it.  It only takes a day or 2 and it seals fine.  I still don't top it off all the way though.

I bought the thicker gasket from Guzzino. better, but still not a 100% seal.

On my '69 Ambo with the same cap, I used to put a piece of hose between the lever and cap to apply more downward pressure.

I would bet a couple of beers that it just may be the finest original paint V700 in the world.  Certainly it must be among the handful of the very best.
