I got back a couple of days ago from an 8 day trip on my 08' Norge. Did over 2,700 miles and made it to northern Wyoming and back from Poulsbo, WA. Besides the rally in Fossil, OR I wanted to revisit Chief Joseph Hwy and Rtes 14 and 14A over the Bighorns. Had a good time at the rally and even got to play some bluegrass music on my uke with nice couple who played fiddle and guitar. Encountered the inevitable bison viewing traffic jams in Yellowstone, got a warning from a policeman outside of Yellowstone for going 81 in a 65 zone, dodged forest fire smoke by going through southern Idaho, rode through clouds and rain over Beartooth Pass at more than 10k feet of elevation, wore the rest of my chicken strips off on countless curvy roads. The Norge did great except for my rear brakes mysteriously going out temporarily on a steep descent. They're fine now though. Some pics below. Full story here:
