Italian National Motorcycle Museum
« on: September 12, 2022, 11:58:11 AM »
Located in the outskirts of Rimini, near the airport in a couple old farm buildings is the Italian National Motorcycle Museum, founded in the mid 1990’s by three collectors, it holds over 250 motorcycles, 95% of which are Italian.
From very early turn of the century machines to 90’s BIMOTA specials. Many Italian makes I never heard of. Most all of the major Guzzi’s, Benelli, Aermacchi, Ducati, MV Augusta, Vespa, and many more.

Super rare LINTO - 500cc GP bike built by lino Tonti using the top ends from two Aermacchi 250 singles

Once again- very cool.  What an awesome collection of machines.  Thanks for the pics, Jim.

Do you have some kind of detox system planned for when you get home?

Another Gilera single

I think it’s a 500 Saturno. The look alike 250 Neptuna was there as well.

I think the serious detox will be to stop lane splitting to get ahead at every traffic light and round about. Everyone on a scooter or motorcycle does it everywhere!  They even pass cops on the move in towns, scooter and motorcycles park for free in every town. It is motorcycle HEAVEN!!!

Lake District?
Don’t miss the MV Augusta Museum between Milan and Varesse. Another amazing collection!

I have been invited to a wedding in Italy next year, so my wheels are already churning.
Thanks for all these ideas of locations to visit.

Seriously though thanks for taking the time to post these awesome pics. I might be in Italy in '23. This museum will be on my to do list.
