« on: September 19, 2022, 10:36:34 PM »
For sale near me.  Might be interested. I thought with the red valve covers, someone my know the bike.

2001 California EV.  44,000 miles.  Current owner says they've had it two years.

Nice looking bike.  How much are they asking for it?

They want top dollar.  They're asking $3,000.

Rocker, you made me laugh with that one. I don’t know that bike, but I did have a ‘01 a few years ago. 2001 is considered a sweet spot, has the the good clutch, but before the hydro. I paid $1700 for it because it needed tires.

$3,000 is the going rate for an EV especially if it has the nice tubeless rims
I wonder what model of ECU it has?

That looks just like my 98. Lovely bike. My favorite EVs are the ones with the natural aluminum colored engine. I have never been a fan of the black paint. Those EVs are undervalued, IMHO. They are just such great bikes. :thumb:

I agree with  the natural Aluminum engine. This is a nice bike but if it’s been sorted properly and all the recalls done I would prefer finding a newer like 03-04 Hydro California. This one has bags, trunk, everything to make it a very dependable long distance cruiser. Now you add the extended rear brake pedal and a Swanny (sp) Aerofoil fairing it would be a Great bike. IMO. Also currently Someone here has a Very well sorted Stone for a few hundred less that needs a good home. I don’t think it has bags or a trunk but it’s a nice looking bike.
