Mr. Nevada RIP
« on: November 05, 2022, 05:36:29 PM »
Dorcia and I raised a glass to Mr. Nevada this evening. Long time listers will know who I am talking about. "It's not the Crispy Cremes that are the problem.. it's my heart."
We are glad you had a good time, sir..

I was raising a glass for no particular purpose just before I opened your post.  Now there's a purpose.  RIP Mr. Nevada!

Yes, I took a nip of the grappa for Mr Nevada - RIP

Proud owner and wearer of the second Mr Nevada T-shirt - "I have always relied on the kindness of strangers"
In Mandello this September I was stopped on the street by people recognizing the shirt, he left quite an impression.
Wish I had kept those famous threads.

Chuck is the good looking one on the right.

John Henry on the left is wearing a T shirt which chronicles one of the many escapades of Mr Nevada. Yes, that is a Guzzi hanging from a roof beam. You had to be there....

Thank you Blackcat and Leafman 60 for bringing such stories of Mr Nevada to our attention. May he be enjoying the endless buffets and Crispy Cremes in the sky.  R.I.P sir.

Sorry to hear this.  His escapades were terrific reading.  Remember the 20-something girl who fleeced him for gas money, tantalizing him with her affections?

I wore the "hanging Guzzi" shirt Saturday. Sorry to hear of his death. RIP. May he always have a double glazed pastry in hand.

Crispy Cream tried to market their version of donuts in New England a few years ago. They wasted a ton o' $$$.
Seriously: I asked permission to attend an MG rally in Panguitz, UT, a number of years ago. A freind was coming up from Tucson. Might Mr. Nevada been the 'stand in' for whom ever was to be the front man for the afair? Thanks for the foto.

Mr. & Ms Deryle Mehrten, out of AZ were 2up, as always, on a Guzzi - - 'til they weren't.

Mr. Nevada. Memorable from day 1.   R3~

Which one?

Off camber,
It was a sweet young thing living just a few trailers over from his.  Always "borrowing" gas money etc in return for a kiss on the cheek and such.  He was taken w her, and his clueless version of their relationship was hilarious.

I don't think she ever got significant money from him, so perhaps it was worth it, just for the daydreams.
