I feel its pretty safe to assume that you havent ridden a Loop Frame or early Tonti with the standard little stick that purports to be a"kick" stand. The safest procedure is to do exactly what she does! You get used to it, I have done it for 40 years with my V7 Sport.
Having a "police" stand and the boards removed on my Lemonvert is a luxury, I can safely swing it down from the saddle.

I've ridden Loopframe Guzzis for the last 22 years and over 100k miles. 99% of the time, I put the (short, civilian) sidestand up and down while seated on the bike. It's not a spring-loaded "suicide stand" like some early Tonti and is very stable except on softest of ground. On early Tontis with the spring-loaded sidestand, I don't even bother with it, just put it on the centerstand and be done with it.

I did that type of kick stand deployment on my Daytona 1000.  Until I figured out that I could use my left hand while seated.
From the Deep Deep South out in left field.  There are no stupid questions.  There are however stupid people asking questions.  🤣, this includes me.  😉 Hawaii.

At 81, she’s just released a new album of rock and roll covers with the title track “Born to be Wild!” You can hear her sing it on YouTube while you look at a photo of her in her prime on a Moto Guzzi. An article today in the New York Times is worth reading. It reveals that she now rides a purple Harley that was custom built for her. You can see the purple paint on the gas tank in a posed picture.
