More stupid questions: Spark Plug wires/caps/ends
« on: April 18, 2023, 11:44:27 PM »
2014 Guzzi V7.  Current spark plug caps are loose and not secure on the spark plug.

I recently bought some new NGK XD05F caps and will buy the correct spark plugs shortly.

I now have to remove my fuel tank to deal with a faulty voltage regulator so, I figure I may as well change out the plug wires and the other ends while the tank is off.

Questions are:

1) should I re use the existing wires or should I buy new wire? Any suggestions on which wire to buy?
2) what goes on the other end of the wire that fits under the fuel tank?  Something similar to the NGK spark plug caps I bought I imagine? Any links to what I need there?
3) These XDO5F spark plug caps are supposed to take a spark plug with a threaded end? I'm looking inside these caps where the plug goes and it doesn't look like it's threaded inside to me.

Any help or guidance is appreciated as , I'm sure you can, I don't know what I'm doing over here :)
