‘Bumped into this at a dealer..
« on: June 12, 2023, 03:29:56 PM »

Jeez it’s nice….and in RED !
The seat felt a bit hard like my V85, but just lovely 🥰
They were both sold, then the following day the dealer rings me and says that the new owner has  pulled out of the deal because the……?
FOOTPEGS ARE IN THE WRONG PLACE…!
Actually he may be right, they should be in my garage with the rest of the bike attached.
The dealer goes on to intimate that it’s caused them some drama and he’d REALLY like to sell it to me. As I recall I have a $10,000 bet @ 10,000:1, with Bad Chad that I won’t buy one… :undecided:

It is pretty in red but I'd prefer one with the upgraded suspension and gold rims.  I'm sure that Brad will let you slide on that bet......

Brad might, but me...   why Yes, of course I will.   As I recall, there was no money involved, I think Huzo should buy it, life goes by fast, why not make the most of it!

Damn it…!
The V100 has winked at me from across the room in a thin dress on a cold night.
The V85 is looking lean and ready for a sweaty hike in the mountains with one set of camping gear.
The Norge has never strayed and feels perfect in the dark at 2 am….
God I’m hopeless….

Chad is a total gentleman about it.
But the problem is…
If I buy one, I owe him 10 grand..!
Also….
A V100 facelift thread would read like the Dead Sea scrolls.
For starters.
Paraphernalia removal from under rear guard.
Ohlins shock replacing black one.
Front fork staunchions painted same as wheels.
Fairing mounted mirrors.
Lighter throttle drum tension.
Softer seat.
Better screen.
Deactivation of “winglets”.
Proper high sheen stainless head guards.
But jeeez…Nice.

Things you don't have to deal with:
- removal of quick shifter
- added complexity and cost of e-suspension
- having to repaint a non-red bike

I do agree that the middle picture you posted is the best looking one.

But when you boil it all down to the basics, it is simply MAN UP AND BUY IT!

None of that.  However, those pipe covers, whooa.  They should've gone full stainless.

Yes.
They are a bit tinny and sharp on the inside edges from manufacture. Similar to the bash plate on the V85.

For some reason, the base bike comes with gold rims, and the S-model comes with black rims.

If I was buying an S-model, I would try to negotiate a wheel swap in order to have the gold wheels on the green S-model.

If I was buying an S-model, I would try to negotiate a wheel swap in order to have the gold wheels on the green S-model.

I talked to Don (dealer here) about it.  He agrees and is open to a swap.

He has a white demo bike.  Put on bar end mirrors, fancy levers and painted the calipers orange to match the trim.  Since I posted the photos here, he tell me his Guzzi rep has gotten several calls from dealers looking for the "caliper kit".  It would likely look better with black wheels.

He's going to move to a new location soon.

Huzo, If you are going to make all those mods to it, take it for a ride.
It is possible you will find more reasons not to buy it.

I would probably prefer to ride away on your V11 truth be told….

I looked at a green one a few months ago..It was a pretty small package really.. I found for a sport touring rig ,some older bikes suit me better..No cruise control/etc..but proven old school engine has a lot of value to me.. V11 would of made the cut for me, but none was close.. I did pretty close to picking one up last year, but the guy just did not have good contact skills..One of those bikes that is always on the radar..
