So for many years I've used long shouldered M6 bolts with whatever bits of rubber tube I have left and a washer to hold my bar ends in place. Though this never quite seems satisfactory as they tend to loosen over time and/or the rubber disintegrates. The very best set up I ever had was on the lemans 1000 whose bar ends had a long steel tube integral to the bar end with a conical tapered nut that expanded the steel tube.
What are you guys using? My google skills aren't up to finding a neat solution, in the past I've just ordered a cheapo set of bar ends, thrown them away and just used the rubber bit on whatever bar ends are best suited for that bike. Is that the best I can do?
Hopefully someone else has BTDT
thanks as usual
