Is there a chance this belongs to a member here?
These don't come up very often in Alaska, so anyone's opinion would be appreciated, right now I think the price is high for what it is, not gonna fly down there based only on what I see, but I could be persuaded

Sorry.  Half of that would be too much.  Doesn't know the mileage because there is no cable to the speedo drive.  Speedo is driven off the right side of the frontwheel.  The drive gear is very rare and very hard to find.  Where is the front fender?  The II version has an electronic ignition driven off the front end of the camshaft.  AFAIK, parts are unobtanium.  Earlier I version and later III version used points ignition.  Alas,  you can't just change the ignition as it requires changing the camshaft as well.  It is a rolling pile of parts for someone who has a running machine.

Fixed it for you. To change to the V50 III type ignition (or Dyna S) would also require the later front cover. There are aftermarket ignitions that will work - Sachse for one. I agree that the price is too high.

I have V50ii and the original ignition works fine.Everything costs more in Alaska,if you buy something here you have to pay to get it there.

Surprisingly not always. We went outside to visit relatives last fall and the price of food, beer, and gas was similar to what we pay up here. As for shipping, it really varies. Sometimes it's quite expensive, other times cheap or even free on ebay. It maybe cheaper to get stuff outside Alaska, but then you have to live there!

Got this V65SP 2 years ago for $1200 in Portland, Span Alaska shipped it to Anchorage for $380. Second pic is its present state. They are fun bikes. My old V50 III is still around town in much better shape than the Kenai rig. I sold that for $2500



Present owner just bought a V85TT. I can ask about it if you want.

Thanks for all the replies! Just learned a lot.  It would seem most Guzzi owners see rare metal in their rides when it comes to valuation, I know I do! The cost of freight is always a factor for Alaskans to consider, as I live wayyyyy off the road system, everything here has to be either flown in or barged ( summer only at that!) Gasoline here is $6.50-$7.00 a gallon, when I had my CalVin shipped up from Fairbanks 2 years ago it cost $1100. It was first trucked to Anchorage then flown to Nome. But in the end was worth it! Now if the rain here will stop for more than a day I can get some riding in before it starts snowing again!
