Tires for V7 III

I have a V7 III Special that I love dearly, and have been using Conti Road Attack 3 tires, which I think are excellent....grip, ride and I got 7,100 out of my last rear, which I think is pretty good.
The problem is that Conti discontinued the RA3 and came out with the RA4, but not in 130/80/17 size. I finally grabbed a Trail Attack 3, very similar, slightly deeper tread and supposed to be a 90/10 tire. In my backroad adventures I do run into some gravel or dirt roads from time to time so that 90/10 rating will work fine for that. But supposedly this is a great road tire as well, so hopefully it works out as planned. I have probably 3k left on my current one but I did over 500 miles last weekend on 2 rides so it will need replacing pretty soon. I also found it for $205 shipped, which is a bargain in my book. Any other tires you folks have found that work really well on the V7 III?

I am using a Shinko that Mike MMRanch was running on his V7.  I figured that if it provided plenty of traction for the way he rides then I know it will work fine for me.  Shinko 712 bought for $76.48 in May 2021.

On my second OEM Dunlop Sport Demon tire on the front, but will probably change at next tire change.

If you ride a lot, consider the Michelin Pilot Street Radial rear in 130/70-17. Amazing durability and versatility. They don't make a 18" front so you'll have to use a different tire.

For the roads around you I think you'll love the Pirelli Scorpion Trail II tires. Basically their Angel ST tire with thicker, slightly more open tread. Dual compound radial construction makes them stick well and they're smooth over choppy pavement. Had them on my Griso for 3500mi when I sold it and there was still plenty of tread left so I'd wager they'll be good for 7K + miles on the V7.

The Trail Attack 3 is not available in an 100/90 18 inch front

Read the owners manual. It is what most use anyway.

Yes thanks, there is a much greater selection of 110/80 x 18 tires. If I need to I will go with a Pirelli or Dunlop or Avon. But seems like almost all of them are out of stock as well.

The last rear tire I wore out (new one-two weeks ago) was a BT46.   I put a pair of them on after seeing the U-tube video where that Canadian guy (Fortnine) says " It will turn your Wobbly Piece of $hit into a Monorail ".     Well , I put a pair of them on and they are REALLY EASY TO LIKE ! 
But the rear one was gone by 7k-miles , so I replaced it with a KENDA 671 CRUISER ST   
On the rear its just as good as the BT46 was and I've still got the extra $100. in my pocket.   Apparently only the front tire is required to produce a Monorail from a Wobbly Piece of $hit ? 

Hay I noticed on my V7 that the speedometer had a different opinion than my GPS on how fast my ground is.   
Well , when I went to a 130/90-17 tire they started to agree on my ground speed.   Its better when all the parts agree , IMHO  .
