Need new Norge Shock - Not OEM
« on: August 21, 2024, 09:56:06 AM »

Need recommendations for where to get new shock for "VroomHilda" Norge with near 50,000 miles on her.    NOT OEM.   Eibach aux spring worn out too with 40K miles on it from years ago.

I have the rebound Wheel now turned to 100% FULL HARD and preload to 7 clicks out.   Still scraping with bags and passenger onboard.

Hey Mike...years ago I bought a Wilbers...well worth the money, has an exterior adjustment to make transitions easier for 1 up, 2up, 1 up with luggage, 2 up with luggage etc.  That added to Hyperpro front springs and slightly heavier fork oil makes the Norge a wonderful Sport bike...prior to that it was wallowy, scraping the center stand, soft and more like a Lincoln Towne Car.

Wilbers are not cheap, but you'll be very happy...just one option for you to consider.

Hamlin Cycles are the MASTERS for Norge suspension.
What Jim can do for that bike is almost unbelievable.  He can make and send one to you.  Buy one time, cry one time.

Hi Paul, Thanks for the  Wilbers quick answer...I have the Matris fork kit installed and that is a huge help.  Where might you suggest purchase from?
Did you get the Road 540 or 640 series and looking at photo wonder how you made the transition on the shock for added weight?

I bought it from Ted at The Beemershop.  He can walk you thru the details needed…weight plus riding gear and talk thru the various options.  Very easy process…fully customized for you.
