New Moto Guzzi Door Mats Available Now
I'm looking for one or two sloppage plates for the older narrow sump engines. Anyone know if Pete Roper is making them? I don't want to order them from Guzzibits.
Pete's plates wont work on a LM 1000 without a bit of extra cutting for the internals.I got a new plate very cheaply from someone who couldn't figure out how to fit it to his V11 ( !) in the hope that it would go but sold it on instead.HMB make one for the older engines https://hmb-moto.de/Oil-sump-baffle-plate but by the time you have paid the shipping to the US ...it's also aluminum which some would say is not ideal.
Don't know whether Pete produced them for narrow motors, but when building my '85, Pete said it was entirely unnecessary unless it was a maximum effort racer. I suppose if it didn't have it, I'd install the LM sump spacer, or the deep V aftermarket pan as I did.
He did. I had a sloppage sheet on my Carb'd Sport 1100.
Pressureangle on the V11 forum is still producing them & he has Pete's blessingI'm unsure of the difference between the narrow sump engines you refer too. AFAIK they are installed between the crankase and the top of the sump spacer & their isn't any difference in dimensions between the "narrow sump" and "broad sump" at that location. The difference with the broadsump is the spacer flares out, so it's only the bottom of the spacer and sump dimensions that differ
