replacing oil in eldo forks

One of my hate jobs is having to remove the police dash to get to the fork cap nuts, the wires are not the longest and every thing works up there why disturb it.
 I have changed the oil by using a syringe in the drain holes but you have to be quick to not lose any oil, I have been pondering about drilling all the way through the cap nuts and you then only have to remove the two allen screws that secure the dash  and syringe the oil in through the cap nuts, Any thoughts guys.  thanks Ray

I thought about doing that on my V9 just to make it easier rather than having to jack it up with no centerstand. I don’t drop the forks anyway rather just suck it out with a small rigged up hand pump. If you do it once a year or more often after a ride, sludge isn’t a problem.
