Guzzidiag download problems
« on: December 20, 2023, 08:55:57 PM »
Trying to download the Guzzidiag software from Greg Bender's Quota page (same info as posted here on a guzzidiag tutorial thread) and I get a download error "guzzidiag.zip can't be downloaded securely", and I'm dead in the water.

What's up with that? A simple security setting on my laptop?

Thanks for the link, this is what I got:

It's an "application", is this what I need, in addition to the cable(s) and cable drivers?

This has been covered. But I'll try to help. Don't know the OS of your computer. Soo....

Download the V0.60 file and unzip it to the folder it wants to go to or your choice of name. IIRR it's ready to run from the folder.

You may or may not need the FTDI driver for your cables. Worth downloading and installing.

You need the cables. Do a read on this, but Lonelec in England is the preferred source. They can be had generically on the rain forest site as well.

If you plan to install a new map, then you need the reader and writer for your ECU.

Hope this helps!

Thanks, Tom, it helps and yes, I know this has been covered ad nauseum before. But now these basic instructions are contained on a single thread page with space to spare and I have concrete instructions to follow. Bike has already been mapped, just want to get up to speed so I can diagnose the annoying angry red SERVICE warning I'm getting. 2 or 3 successive shut down/re-starts makes it go away, but I can't ignore it forever.

Hope I did not come off as being rude.

The accepted best place to get the cables is Lonelec in England, I have a set from them. Order online and about a week latter the cables show up. The ones on the rain forest I also have a set of. Both work, I would trust the Lonelec more than the others.

Guzzidiag is pretty straight forward. There is at least one lengthy tutorial on how to use it here. Many shorter threads on specifics about it.

I guessing you want to look into a Quota. Your service light "should" be able to be cleared?? Check for error codes, fix the issues. Just as a thought, this has been brought up before, I always forget about this easy fix. Disconnect the battery overnight, sometimes that can solve ECU issues. Also some say to disconnect the battery cables from the battery, then hook them together can also help.
