January 1st is a good day to replace all you yearly batteries.

-Key Fobs (Car/truck/motorcycle and yes even the battery in the spare fob that in the junk drawer)
-Smoke detector/Carbon monoxide detector
-Household thermostats
-Air Tags
-Flashlights

A good reminder to drain your home water heater and flush it too if you have hard water.

I wait till the batteries go dead (guzzi content).  My silverado key fob has the original batt in it, still works fine after 15 years.   

Smoke detectors chirp for days when batt gets low, thats when I replace those 9v's

F draining the water heater...it only causes the drain cock to start dripping. If it was made for routine draining they woulda put a knob on it imo. 

The thermostat batts last 2-3 years for me so I ain't replacing early to triple my battery budget.

My flashlights that arent rechargeable get fresh D cells when the light gets too dim for my liking...I keep spare D cells on-hand.

No air tags here to worry about here...don't need to keep track of the wife, she's trustworthy.

My wife made me put iSharing on my phone so she can keep track of me. She says it is in case I fall off my bike somewhere.    Probably more like what gin mill I am in.    I have a new Mandello, I wonder how long the tire pressure sensor batteries last.

I had one tire pressure sensor (automobile) battery die, they are not replaceable batteries.  It cost about $12 to replace it, a battery would have been cheaper.

Are you the guy that recharges his batteries at the McDonalds using their electricity and drinking a $0.99 senior coffee that you and your significant other split while sharing a peanut butter sandwich you brought from home? Remember to take some ketchup packets and napkins with you when you leave. They wouldn't put so many out if they didn't want you to take them.

Geez, no that's not me but it's a good idea if I wasn't so lazy to go through all that efffort.  Almost sounds like projection to me!!??
