Fuel reset at fill up: numbers somewhat off
« on: July 19, 2024, 09:58:26 AM »
Hey Geeser's

Enjoying 2 month in to my new  2022 V85tt travel and almost 3000 miles on it

I have noticed when I fill up, the top bar never fills in and the range is always off but eventually evens out, my 2020 V75tt didnt do this.

As an example, I usually go 280-310 on a tank of gas, now I fill up, reset and once I get going it populates to about 220 and goes down as I ride, then out of the blue, it populates to over 250...

Has anyone else noticed this on any of the newer models?

Sure, my V100 does it all the time. It depends on your riding style and type of riding. If I have been riding around time for a bit the distance to empty is kind of low. Then when I go on the highway where MPG is higher the miles to empty starts climbing. I use one of the trip counters to keep an eye on things.
