Seals and Bearings

I am looking at replacing some seals from a 1950's scooter I picked up.  These seals are a bit different from today's seals but was wondering is this a common item that can be interchanged with current shaft seal technology?

I figured as long as the OD and thickness is roughly the same they should press fit right into the cases with no issues.

Also what type of beaings are these that have the races collapse onto the bearing ring.  So that the shaft is supported between two cases?

I don't know where you live but I would take what you have to a local seal/bearing supplier like Motion Industries.

That bearing has a race on the shaft & case that goes w/it. Inner & outer race.

Bearing is a radial / thrust bearing that carry both loads. Often seen in bicycle wheels and bottom brackets.
Used to be common in front wheels of rear wheel drive american cars (c. 1960s)
