Disc(s), plural, as there should be two of them. I've heard of failures of the Newfren friction plates - rivets shearing. My advice would be to buy the SD-TEC clutch plates.

I have had to replace a few of the factory plates due to rivets shearing. I have been using the SD-TEC plates that are bonded AND riveted. Appears to be a good thing.

I agree on the SD tec plates. I put a set in my eldorado  years ago, and they have been great for 22K miles so far.
