How do you protect polished aluminum tank?

Just had my tank partially painted and partially polished.

How do I protect the polished aluminum?  Ceramic coating or wax or….

I would ask the painter what your best options are considering what kind of paint he used?  I used some 2K clear two part paint in a can for some aluminum wheels.  It is holding up well in NY salty Winters. If the paint can be coated too with it, I think it is gasoline resistant.

I recommend some of the 3M clear protective film where your knees rub. Other than that, just a good coat of carnuba wax on the paint. Beautiful tank!   :thumb:

I also used the 2k, not cheap but it is holding up well to me spilling gas on a regular basis.
