Chadd, Churchtown shipper’s . Bikes is all he does, sometimes with his wife. Comes highly recommended but he’s back and forth and across the USA all the time. Call and see what his timeline would be. When I talked to him about a month ago prices were very good even with high fuel costs.

I just tried Shiply and was getting high quotes.
I went with haulbikes for best price and reliable service.

I've found Haul bikes does a good job at a reasonable rate.  Their downside (for some) is they only use big 18-wheeler tractor-trailer rigs which means lots of small streets and neighborhoods are off-limits.  The small independent operators found on U-ship most likely use a Pick-up and trailer.  When I lived in the "big city" I was able to make use of Haul Bikes and their big trucks.  The driver would just pull his rig into the big "mega-church" parking lot across the street and unload the bike for me.  Now I live out in the sticks at the top of a narrow twisty road, no 18-wheelers allowed! So, I've resorted to using the independent bike haulers.  Usually a little more money, but the personal "door-to-door" service is nice.

Good, helpful information, Folks!

FotoGuzzi, I spoke with Chad, of Churchtown shippers, nice guy for sure, and seems to know Guzzis, as he knew what a convert was right away. I am waiting for him to get back to me with a quote. In the mean time, I will check with the others, recommended here for comparison.
Thanks to all

I used haul bikes and just met in the parking lot of my local wal mart. Guy was a real rider, loved he was delivering a Griso to me. Highly recommended.

Hey this guy Simon just moved some bikes for myself and Scout63

He is based out of Greensboro, NC but I think he works nationwide.  He brought a big haul of bikes & parts from Canada to Ben in Cape Cod, then delivered one of the bikes to me in NC.

I think I paid $540 from Cape Cod to WNC mountains, and this was while gas was $5/gal.  That was for the bike, extra wheels, and all the plastic/fairing pieces separate from the bike.

I dealt with him direct, not thru U-ship or haul bikes or anything, tho I assume he is using those as a part of the business.

He was a little gruff and showed up at my place about 3-4hrs later than planned... But the bike was well secured and he moved the bike along that route in just 1 day!  He picked up on Saturday morning and was ready to drop it off on Sunday afternoon.

I’ve used both HaulBikes and independent shippers and have been very pleased with both. Either will deliver your bike on schedule and in good condition. My last few quotes from HaulBikes, however, have seemed excessive, so it’d be wise to shop around before settling on them.

Regularly have used MotoShippers with great success https://www.motoshippers.com/

Keep in mind with shipping shortages and high fuel prices, almost all shipping quotes will be higher than normal

Chadd Mowery, of Churchtown shipping services, is the guy I chose.( Thank you Fotoguzzi!) I checked with 3 other shippers, and Chadd is the only one who got back to me right away with a quote, and has been very responsive. He is picking up the Convert, this Monday the 25th, in Palestine Texas, and delivering it to me in Arizona Wednesday, the 27th. Its around 1000 miles, and the cost is $750.  door to door to a residential address. `Considering the cost of diesel, thats not bad at all, IMHO.

Time to wake this up again.
I need to get a V85 from Gainesville, Ga. To Green valley Az. Normally, I would just stick it in my pickup and bring it out with my wife and I the First of Jan. 25. Her back is bad and has trouble driving the truck while we are out there so I am thinking about having someone else take it so we can take the car.
I am totally flexible with the pick up time. It could be today or as late as the end of Dec. 24.
Rick, how did your deal go? Other recent shipments for others here.

I have had Chadd  Mowery ship two Guzzis and a sidecar I purchased, and he did an excellent job. He kept me informed, at all times, and delivered everything to my door in rural  Southeastern AZ.
If I ever needed a bike shipped, I would use him, very nice guy to deal with.
Give him a ring..610 823 8063

Haulbikes often parks your bike in a warehouse for undetermined time so the delivery is not based on how many miles away you are. I sent a bike to California earlier this summer. The buyer chose haulbikes and it took a few weeks to get there. They also shuffle bikes between two or more trucks so they get handled a lot, not that it’s a bad thing just uses more time to deliver. They do use dedicated semi trailers set up for bikes in an upstairs and down levels.
The driver was a bit gruff and would not touch the bike until I rolled it off my property.
