V85TT Engine Guard Paint Color

Has anyone matched their engine guard paint with an "off the shelf" paint color? Sometimes it looks like glossy black, other times it looks flat black. I need to touch up one side.

If it was me I would remove the bars and paint them with Kylon Fusion black textured paint. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Krylon-FUSION-ALL-IN-ONE-Acrylic-Enamel-Textured-Textured-Spray-Paint-Actual-Net-Contents-12/5001057303 . I've used this on many projects including the plastic lids on my 2022 MG V85tt Travel's side cases, after a minor fall. Came out fantastic. Nice thing about this paint is it covers up minor imperfections in the surface and is easy to touch up if the surface gets dinged up again.

FYI, I found that this satin black paint is a pretty good match for the OEM engine guard paint. The OEM paint has a bit of a texture so touch-up paint will fill in the texture a bit but the color is a pretty good match.

I’ve been using this for quite a few years. Very durable. Sold at many motorcycle shops as well as Amazon.
