Never heard of a MG 254 before. What's the story?

It's a re-badged Benelli 254, which I remember back in the day (and wishfully wanted one).

I used to borrow my father's 400GTS, the last "Benezzi" bike.
What a pain to setup the 4 carbs.

I like it. 

On Kawasaki fours (and other folk's bikes), I used to do synchronisation with a single Bourdon vacuum gauge. Using just one gauge means accuracy of measurement (between gauges) isn't a factor. It is possible to get proficient enough that the chore ain't that bad.

Except the cylinders on a BMW "Brick" are horizontal and the Guzzi racer's are vertical like a Triumph Rocket 3 with an extra cylinder.
