V100 engine for a V7 (a pipe dream)
« on: February 09, 2025, 02:48:21 PM »
Hey, everyone. A Super Bowl Sunday muse . . .

Some of the online bike sites have speculated in the past that some variant of the V100 engine (perhaps a scaled-down version) might be forthcoming in a new bike(s) at some point.

I have both a Mandello and a V7 Special and I love 'em both but prefer the riding ease of the V7 since my legs are kinda short.

A V7-style ride with, say, about 100 hp worth of new engine would have me first in line to buy!

Guzzisti, what say you? :boozing:

Over my dead body—at least not yet, because I don’t see Piaggio holding onto both an air-cooled V7 AND a liquid-cooled bike dressed as such.

If Piaggio is going to continue giving us modern retros, I’d rather see them expand their modern classic vibe and give us the next Le Mans rather than leech a look that’s 15 years running.
