V7 unsightly throttle gap

Recently installed my favorite Biltwell grips on the Carbon and found that the OEM grips are molded to cover the end of the throttle tube. The Biltwells leave an unsightly gap as I suspect others will. Any suggestions on how to fill / cover the gap?

Cheapo foam/soft grip, cut to the right length? I had one on the opposite side of the grip 'ledge', to ease my throttle grip on the Bonnie.

Pop it in some warm/hot water to soften.

Wow, those grips are really that short?? Any chance the grips just aren’t quite all the way on? Or, maybe if there’s an end cap on the grip, trim the end cap to allow it to slide on a little further?

Otherwise, I would just throw the bike away and get another one that the grips fit.

Wow, there’s grips are really that short?? ..

Many times, the 'ledge' isn't shaped to fit over that bit of the throttle tube - I've seen that on a few bikes. Sometimes, it's possible to squeeze it up to that white portion, though I seem to recall just cutting that (superfluous) bit of the throttle tube off. 
I'll assume you cut the closed end off, if they are closed, to refit the end weights.

The grey and black Domino grips I installed on my V7III Milano had that same shortcoming. But I live with it as the grey closely matches the paint and the grips are really a very comfortable compound.

Apparently the Guzzi throttle tube is a little different length than most.?

      On my '74 Sport, I have a Tomaselli "Daytona" throttle with "Biltwell Renegade" style grips. They are 6 3/8" long and cover the entire throttle tube. Maybe your grips are shorter, as manufacturers have been cutting quality, size, and or amount in their products.

Checked today and even my cheapo £14,or so, heated grips are the correct length.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions and comedic relief.

These are full length Biltwell Renegade grips that I cut the ends off to accommodate the bar end mirrors/weights. The problem is the 'webbing' prevents me from getting the grip any farther up the tube. I'll try trimming the tube so I can move the grip inward a bit more and paint the white plastic black.

I cut the large diameter end off the old grip and used it as a filler to cover the gap. Different bike so I don’t know if that’ll work.

I have heated grips on the Stornello and 1200 Sport. On the Stornello, I used a dremel to carefully trim the lip on the throttle tube, and painted the remainder black before installing the grip. On the 1200 Sport, I cut the old foam grip and slipped it over the ring as described above.
