A few years ago, the local news did a segment on me and went to great lengths to include me riding & discussing my V7 Sport. Of course, in her dialogue it morphed into a Harley just like granite magically becomes marble in similar situations….
We bumped into the reporter Christina last fall during another media promo that my wife was doing with Christina’s journalism mentor from many years before. She sent her the segment on me on the bike, raved and raved about it. We didn’t know they knew each other, only that my wife’s friend was a former journalist long before she moved to this area and went into different work. Kind of figured her positivity was more lip service than anything, just her being upbeat & positive like Christina always is.
The conversation between them went on long after my wife & I left. Apparently that segment is one that she genuinely considers one of her best ever, most proud of, etc. we had quite a time doing it, trying to do good riding shots and getting good audio. She doesn’t usually do any such “action” work, so this one really stands out.
I’ve done a lot of tv interviews, segments and promo stuff and it’s my favorite, too…. I’ve posted the link before. Here it is one more time if anyone is interested-

Maybe 75-100 ft total, just in front of the shop. She didn’t wear a helmet because it’s not required here in S.C., plus hair/makeup and mic issues. Before she got off the bike, station management immediately lit up phones over that, said that wouldn’t happen again- period. We had a good laugh over that.
