The "High Latency" question was technical, not emotional.

I've only noticed it today, it's been very sporadic.

It may have to do with traffic. Just a guess.

I’m a bit hazy on what that means.

Googled it up for you, I was curious too...

"High latency, or "lag," refers to a noticeable delay in network communication, causing slow responses and a poor user experience, especially in real-time applications like online gaming."

I get that too, not just on Wild Guzzi, but life in general. Thought it was due to old age!

Not an answer, just a couple of causes ....

Sometimes bad players on the internet elsewhere cause latency in nominally unassociated locations - read this as hackers playing games such as denial of service attacks on targets that have given offense.

Once at work our IT guy sent an email to all asking why the network was so slow today. Several of us informed him that the World Cup soccer match was on, and probably more than a couple were surreptitiously watching it.

And sometimes it's just your local provider having a bad day.

Lastly, look to your own machine - make certain you have the appropriate protective medicines in place, and question did you recently download something that may have had unintended effects on your machine speed?
That's the combustion chamber of the turbo shaft. It is supposed to be on fire. You just don't usually see it but the case and fairing fell off.

The service “httpd” was having some connection issues yesterday between 1:23PM and 1:37PM CST. Our server is located in Dallas and they were having strong thunderstorms. That could have been the culprit. If the power to the data center was interrupted, the servers would likely slow operations.

Why does "Wildguzzi" frequenly have high latency?

During the evening hours of the US, service is interrupted up to 50% due to traffic. Simply put, there's more people online and browsing Wildguzzi from 4PM to 11PM. Think vehicle traffic. The more people on the freeway, the slower the traffic becomes. Still, at 50%, pages should load within 2-3 seconds. Of course that all depends on your internet provider and your data speed/plans.

I just checked everthing on our end and it's all "right as rain".

Stay dry,
Luap

I'm sticking with old guys don't think on their feet as quickly as we used to.

You guys can deny that all you want, but everybody around you has noticed the increase in latency over the last few years.....
