Hello
After picking up my V7 october last year and drove it in the night time I discovered it has a really poor light output (or rather light pattern).
Did not want to go for the newer led look (like to keep the rough looking "old-ish").
So what to do? A better bulb won´t help you due to a very poorly designed headlight, but luckily there are some options out there.
Here is my cheap DIY:
Found this cheap Hella reflector on Amazon, think they are ~35 EUR. Same used for old Beetles (or Volvo Amazon in my case as I´m from Sweden...)
Wont post a link due to it goes away rather quickly, but article from Hella is 1A6 002 395-031

It is a little bit to small to fit in the ring that holds the light reflector, so some modding is needed.
A PTFE-ring fitted perfect together with some o-rings and cellular rubber from work

Ordered some springs originally used to fit the glass to the frame in a greenhouse (costs ~7 EUR) from Amazon and locked the headlight in place.

Reassembled in the housing and adjusted. Result is a very much better light pattern that still mantains the old style of the bike and it looks like it could be stock.
I have used a normal bright Halogen, but might use a better LED in the future if I need it.

Might do a 3d-printed bracket in the future to hold the Hella in place, which probably is better but this solution still works after 2500 km
