Pizza party and firewood stacking party!

Weather permitting next Saturday 19 April 2025, at 3pm (also if I’m not scheduled to work) I’m having a firewood stacking party.  I need 7 piles of firewood stacked in 4’ high by 8’ long ricks.  See picture.

Pizza. Soft drinks, coffee etc and a bonfire in the firepit.  Come on over to help and eat!  Woo hoo.  Message me if you’re coming so I know how much pizza etc to get.  Hop on that guzzi and come on over!  Woo hoo.  219 Poteet Rd, SE Cleveland Tn 37323.

I have a bathroom that needs cleaning, and various left overs in the basement fridge.  Get the tile and toilet nice and shinny, and you can help your self!

Seen it done this way, If you mark the green wood line on the post you can also mark the seasoned line a couple inches down.  I've always wanted to build a mini black nuclear cooling tower like structure, to continually draw air into a stack like this.

My stacking party usually consists of me coercing my 3 kids into doing it OR ELSE....

There must be some functional advantage to those cool euro-looking round configurations, and my wife ALWAYS asks "Why don't you do that?" every time we see one, but I see it as more time-consuming than stacking in a rack, although it DOES look more stable.

A 3.5 ft radius stack only 4' high would hold a cord of wood, so the stack in the image looks like more than a cord.

The stack in my photo was about 2.5 cords.  I didn't think it took any longer to make it then stacking that much in ricks.  Maybe even a bit easier as the uglies (forks, squirrely pieces etc) go in the middle, just randomly thrown in.  And you are correct, WAY more stable than an equal height rick.
