Selector reinstallation?
« on: July 02, 2025, 02:39:19 PM »
I pulled the transmission on my 1969 ambassador. I pulled out the selector on the rear cover and I'm not sure how to refit it. How do I know which direction to set it in and which teeth to reinsert it into?

The pin on the selector goes into the spring - that will determine which teeth are engaged. You didn't turn the "gear" they engage did you? Here's how to install the cover:

Thank you! This helped me figure out my error as well: https://www.thisoldtractor.com/moto_guzzi_loopframe_transmission_shift_return_spring_-_installing_a_shift_return_spring.html

How do I adjust the cam screw? Any initial settings?
