Heading for ID rally next week and kind of nervous on my old Stelvio on gravel.Coming Nort on 310 ,308 looks like a nice shortcut. We are planning to camp along 212 on the way to Cooke City.Anyone experienced 308, good campground on 212?Thanks for the advice, hope to make the rally Thursday afternoon.

308 is OK. Did that on a Goldwing. Stayed in Cooke City back 1972 after hitting snow and rain coing through the Beartooth in July on the Norton. Rain gear was primitive then. The motel only had a wood stove for heat so we could dry our clothes. I suspect its a bit more modern today.
Also did 72 south from Belfry. This on a Chief Joseph Highway loop from Cody. Mostly all open country. Nothing to slow you down.
