Nevada wiring
« on: August 24, 2025, 02:58:00 AM »
Trying to get a mates wiring sorted on his 94  nevada it was totally butchered.
Looms and switch gear had been modified, cut changed to point where its extremely difficult to trace a wire from one part to another because of multiple  colour changes, have managed to get wiring for lights , indicator,  brakes,   waring lights etc sorted  ( the relatively simple bits) now comes  the worrying parts, the ignition units, coils pick ups etc and generator, so help needed
Does any one have or know where to find a couple of  separate wiring diagrams one for the ignition circuit and for the generator circuit, am thinking that these would help in tracing wiring.
Thanks in advance

Thanks for that, but I have the complete wiring diagram you linked to, but was looking for separate ignition ang generator circuit if available.have a downloaded and a physical copy of the manuals but the actual bike wiring is erm modified to say the least, just been working from switches tracing wires and connecting as appropriate, and making sure all joints are good.

I haven't seen a level of detail that good since 1980s Kawasaki (GT750 & Z550) Workshop Manuals. Good luck.

Had a z1300 early 90's , bought the factory manual,  brilliant level of detail as you said only oneproblem was the wiring diagram was in black and white, with no colour codes.. Looks like its back to tracing individual wires with a multimeter,

https://www.thisoldtractor.com/guzzi007/schematics/1994_Nevada_350-750.gif

Sorry th Carl Alison drawing makes no sense to me, it shows a red wire coming from the alternator to battery and two yellows to from alternator to regulator /rectifier
The rectifier is usually part of the regulator as pr a VLL Sport
This schematic makes no sense.
