B1100 side cover
« on: November 05, 2025, 03:48:19 PM »
Hello All:
It's been a while, but here's my current query...
The side cover(s) on my Breva 1100 have a ridiculous unsupported "peg" that slips into a rubber grommet to help secure the covers to the front.
Long story short, one has finally given up, with no hope of reattachment.
Has anyone had or heard of a fix for this ?
I can buy a used part, paint it and move on, but I would like to fix this if possible, and I am out of ideas....

Thank you in advance:

If the plastic pin has broken off and the pin is in good shape. It there is enough meat on the side cover, you might try drilling a hole in both to fit a sheet metal type screw semi loosely. Cut head off screw and thread into one side, add a little super glue to the surfaces and thread into other side. Might just work??
