Starter motor cover
« on: April 11, 2026, 06:01:48 PM »
My V7 has no starter motor cover.  I find lots on eBay. Is it a one fits all or do I need model and year specific?

I don’t think they made the starter motor cover until the hemi head V7 came out in 2017. The starter motors are the same between the Heron and Hemi V7, but I can’t recall how the cover attaches—if it’s via the starter motor mounting bolts, then you might be ok to add one. I have an extra left over that I’ll be happy to sell you dirt cheap if you want to try it out. If it doesn’t work, send it back or keep it to sell.

On a 21 model a bracket is on starter bolts and cover mounts to it w/2 screws
17 V9 is the same
V85TT is the same

Didn't see any in parts before 16, didn't look evertwhere

As you mentioned, it covers the starter. Not much more. Looks pretty?

Hides the eventual/inevitable rusting of the starter motor casing and screw head that holds the stator on some models?
