My friend Greg was asked to enter his 77 LeMans into the show.

Yes...there was an early 850 LeMans on hand. Along with a GTS 500, Dondolino, Falcone Sport, Eldorado, V50 Monza, 1000 SP II, Ghezzi-Brian Furia, V85 TT Centenario.
A T3 Police bike, Alce and Daytona were also invited, but couldn't/didn't make it.
SR
P.S. -- parked outside was a 850 T3/1000S clone, another Ghezzi-Brian, an early V7 Racer and another V85 TT (black).

Sounds like a good collection of Guzzi. Glad we were well represented.

FULL REPORT:
Moto Guzzi’s 100th Anniversary…Celebrated at Greenwich, CT Concours
Steven Rossi
Recognized as the Northeast’s preeminent collector and special vehicle extravaganza, Connecticut’s Greenwich Concours d’Elegance has been nestled along the idyllic Connecticut town’s harbor for 25 years. Greenwich is part of what’s referred to as the “Gold Coast” and includes two of the state’s wealthiest zip codes. With its proximity to nearby New York City’s wherewithal, an elegant array of rolling sculpture is routinely guaranteed to grace the Show site…a precious peninsula that juts out into the Long Island Sound.
Now owned and operated by the good folks from Hagerty Insurance, the Greenwich Concours was reengineered to be more accommodating and attendee friendly for 2021. Instead of what had been a two-day affair that included a Bonham’s Auction (which gobbled up a fair amount of the available Roger Sherman Baldwin Park real estate), now Show vehicles-only prevail along the 6.3 acres of premier Connecticut shoreline. And the Concours itself is now simply a Sunday affair…in this case, October 24, 2021.
In the interest of presenting the best-of-the-best and having something to share with everyone, this year’s Greenwich Concours included some rather compelling features. Including such special Classes as 70 Years of Allard, 100 Years of Duesenberg, Vintage Sport Utility Vehicles and…100 Years of Moto Guzzi! Along with a marque like Duesenberg, Moto Guzzi achieved the privilege of keeping company with the elite in Connecticut the old-fashioned way. By earning it. To quote the Show program, “Survival for a company that produces motorcycles as its main source of income is a challenge…Hard work, ingenuity and more than a little luck have allowed Moto Guzzi to reach that milestone…If the next century brings as many challenges as the previous, it will be an exciting ride with Moto Guzzi.”
Providng a small snapshot of Moto Guzzi’s expansive history (an impossible task), the following machines from Mandello del Lario were on display:
1938 GTS 500 Todd Trumbore
1946 Dondolino Racer Dave Roper
1952 Falcone Wicker Francis
1973 Eldorado David Geisinger
1978 850 LeMans Gregory Rathe
1981 V50 Monza Todd Trumbore
1987 SP II Steven Rossi
2003 Ghezzi-Brian Furia Carlos Escudero
2021 V85 TT “Centenario” Steven Rossi
Wicker Francis’ Falcone won the Class’s prestigious Blue Ribbon and proudly thumped its way through the harborside Award ceremony…awing the crowd with its mesmerizing, bacon-slicer flywheel. Also invited was an Alce, an 850 T3 Police bike and a Daytona. But they were unfortunately unable to attend. Meanwhile, out in the parking lot, there was a T3/1000S clone, another Ghezzi-Brian, an early V7 Racer, another new, black V85 TT and certainly, more.
So Happy 100th Anniversary, Moto Guzzi…with best regards, from Connecticut.

Thank you Steve. I was looking forward to your description of the event. I wanted to be there; having looked forward to the event, especially this year. I imagine Steve C, was there? Will there be pictures? Perhaps your own to share? Good fortune, R3~ / B~

Didn’t know they made a black V85. Custom repaint?

"Nero Etna" ... the entry level V85 TT color for 2021 = $11,990 (no bags, like the original gray one).

P.S. - Greenwich pic's are coming.
