WIMPS!!!     That's the main reason I moved home to Hawaii.  The whole state is solar heated.

Good upgrade!   :thumb: :thumb:

I need to connect the lights on the Wixoms.    There wire for the light doesn't exit anywhere, it's just a 6" stub of a wire.  I'd guess these were refinished at some point, and someone glassed over the hole the wire exits.

Where does the wire typically come out?

Sorry for the blurry photos, but they should give you an idea of where the hole is located. I can shoot some better ones and do some measuring if needed.

Thanks, Charlie -- those are plenty good to show me where to put the hole.

Dual disk upgrade complete!   It stops much better now!, though, the lever is a little spongy.    It might still have  a little air in it the the system somewhere.   It was a real b**ch to get fluid flowing initially, even though the master cylinder was working fine before I drained the fluid out to add the line for the second caliper.

I added it by changing out the banjo bolt at the brake sensor for a double, so, now the right turn signal bracket won't go back on w/o either cutting it (the long part that engages a tab on the back of the bottom triple clamp to keep it from turning), or making a replacement that bumps out around the banjo bolt.

The dual disk upgrade was well worth it.   And spring finally arrived!

I think that the Wixoms are the best looking bags on Loops!

Hey....haven't you heard??  You're not suppose to use the front brake.  It'll throw you over the handlebars.          Looks good by the way with the rear drum brake you can do a sliding stop on gravel.

Steering with your right foot, dirt bike style.
I like to do that on the WR.

80 degrees and sunny.   Finally!     Too bad it's going to be in the low 40's and rain tomorrow afternoon.

The seat of the Eldorado is a great place to spend such a fine afternoon   :thumb:

I'm still enjoying the Eldorado.   I had a pleasant 200 miles on it this past weekend.     The ride included a trip across the mighty Susquehanna River on the Millersburg Ferry, the last ferry in operation across this great river.    The ferry service has been in continous operation for over 200 years.

It is a paddle-wheel vessel powered by a 57 horsepower (43 kW) Deutz diesel engine with a hydraulic drive system.

Toward the end of the day, I met up with a friend who has a gorgeous R90S.  We swapped rides for a bit.   He was quite impressed with the Eldorado, especially the handling and brakes, both being much better than he expected.  He also loved the sound.

I'm now at 600 miles since rebuild, and will be doing the break-in oil change and valve clearance check before riding it again.

One way rates:
$5 for walk on passengers
$10 for motorcycle + rider.
$15 for car + driver
$5 for additional passengers with vehicle

It's worth it to keep a piece of history operational.
