I was curious about this product. Anyone here have an opinion?  Agostini Compensator Eliminator For MG Norge 8V.  AF1 sells them for $429.00

This is what they say... The use of this crossover helps to provide better exhaust flow, less heat build up, a small weight reduction, and better overall engine performance, especially in the mid-range RPMs.

I'm in the wrong business.

I personally wouldn't bother. All it will do is make it harder for the ECU to trim around. If you're planning on running a custom map? Less of an issue but I don't think it's going to give any noticeable performance increase.

The cat is in the box, so that's why you get less heat. No cat. I've seen one of the eliminators on a 1200 Sport. If you do get it, pull your main fuses to reset the fuel trims. The ECU would re-trim eventually if you didn't, but fueling would be off a bit until fully re-trimmed. Better to reset.

I put one on my new '12 Norge at about 600 miles at the same time I put on a Mistral muffler Bob.  The machine did seem to accelerate harder, but of course that's subjective.  One thing I did notice was that the MPG went from 39.0 to 42.3 inside of 50 miles. (DB killer was installed in the Mistral).  It had been hard at 39.0 for those first 600 miles.  Since the MPG change occurred inside of 50 miles, and has stayed there, I am assuming the increased exhaust flow must have had something to do with it and not just normal engine breakin. I've seen posts here doubting the accuracy of the MPG readout on the Norge.  I'm going to check the true MPG next time I fill up.  If you're going to get the Agostini compensator, make sure you have a pair of brake spring pliers before installing it in order to get the center return springs back on.  In my opinion, it is a very well made component.  I particularly liked the springs held with tabs at the pipe joints.

I have thought about it. (56Pan got me thinking about it!)

I have an Agostini muffler for my Norge. The Agostini Y-pipe would probably pair very well with the Agostini muffler. However, I am running the stock muffler  currently while my bike's issues are being sorted... (Unless one also changes out the stock muffler, is there really a need for a Y-pipe?)
