1400 touring fork oil
« on: May 18, 2015, 08:25:38 AM »
My bike is approaching 40 000 km and requires new fork oil.

The dealer does not carry the oil listed in the manual, namely Fuchs Titan SAF 1091 nor do they know its viscosity, nor can I find any clue online as to its properties.

Does anyone know what viscosity the standard oil is?

I am happy with the fork as it is - just want to replace the oil.

Thanks in advance

I was going to use the old "Google it, dummy!" and then I googled it, and of course you're no dummy: even FuchsLubricants.com doesn't list this oil on its Titan page.

In this case I'd send an email to Jim Barron at info@rosefarmclassics.com and see what he advises (?)

I am not sure if this is same as stock.
