covering the front brake, lever size, hand size...etc

All,

I prefer to cover the front brake much of the time when I am in traffic, or other possible braking situations.  On the V7R, without adjustable levers, that cover is difficult.  The new Triumph has adjustable levers, and adjusting position it far in for my small hands:  helps.

So, I am thinking about switching out to adjustable, shorty type levers on the V7R.  Does anyone have suggestions please?

Even the Triumph might benefit from even more adjustment.  Not sure on that.  I can say the dual front disks on the STRX make two finger braking easy.
Not so much with the V7R that takes a lot more finger pressure to really engage the brakes.

Suggestions welcome.  If I find a good pair I will swan up to MPH and have them installed, and also have them check the brake pads.  They might be really dirty and glazed?  The braking difference is remarkable between the two bikes.

Thanks in advance!

IMO levers are like handlebars -- you need to experience them before you know if they're right.  I'd suggest going to the mc superstores in your area and try a bunch of different levers.  When you find the length, swoop, and end style you like, find the most similar (by picture and dimensions) that fits your pump.

I've switched my pumps for radials.  There are more choices in less expensive levers when you move into the ujm (Suzuki in my case) offerings.  I've picked up complete front brake assemblies -- calipers, pads, hoses, pump, and lever -- in nissin/tokio for less than the cost of a brembo lever.
