Three of us rode  Cali's to the Dust-2-Dawson NAR over summer solstice one year.  It's one of the larger 'adv' gatherings in North America.  Many hundreds of somehow unique but identical examples of the streetrunning dirt bike motif.  I was lectured by several patient event vets that I had the wrong tool for the job -- to do ADVENTURE riding REQUIRES an ADVENTURE bike.  My only defense was that I feel my bike isn't the adventure -- what I do with it is.

True, when someon started that conversation with me I would chime in " how about those two old geezers that rode to Prudhoe Bay on Vespa's?"

And only a properly trained barber can give you a professional looking haircut using the latest modern styles and techniques.

LOL ! I thought I was the only cheap bastard who cut his own hair. Last professional haircut I received was f***'d up so I figured I'd save the $7.00 and butcher myself. Maybe one of these days I'll get a Flowbee.

I used to go to a regular barber shop.   Sit and wait an hour for some old dude to cut my hair for $11.

Then I got smart.   Started going to a "Great Clips" shop, where generally cute girls cut your hair with no waiting, make a note of the clipper settings etc., and enter what they did that you liked into the computer so you can get the same haircut next time.   My wife says it's a MUCH better haircut and it's only $17, sometimes $10 with a sale coupon.  There's everything to be said for it ....  If I tried to cut my own hair I'd never be allowed into polite society again.

It'll happen when Luap changes the

"Wild Guzzi General Discussion Forum"  to the

"Wild Guzzi Read It and Shut Up Forum".

Or the

"Wild Guzzi Positive Comments Only Forum"

Doesn't sound like any fun to me.

Hey... this forum has turned me into a "hooligan" rider since my wrist got excited one day and I let a little sound out the pipes.   I'm flattered and thankful for this site and the negative feedback.  :bow  ;-T
