Pirellie diablo strada replacement?

Diablo strada appears to have been discontinued.  Is the Angel ST the replacement?  Anybody have any feedback on the Angel ST?

Bike is a 2OOO V11 S.

Also, I'd like to switch from the 16O to the 15O.  15O/7O is a good replacement for the 16O/6O?

Yes.  Angel ST was the successor to the Diablo Strada.  Angel GT is the successor to the Angel ST.   I've not run them, but lots of people like them.

Yes.  150/70 would be the -1 replacement for a 160/60 rear.

Over the years, I've thought of trying a 150/70-17 on my Sport 1100 carb, because the stock 160/60-17 just seems too wide for the rim.  The bike does handle pretty good, and good tires in 18" rear are thinning, so I've never tried it.

I did do it on my V11 LeMans, which came stock with a 180/55.  Went to a 170/60 and never looked back.  Turn-in and handling was much better with the 170 on the back of that bike.

I think Guzzi was just trying to keep up with fashion and was using the largest tire that would fit, for marketing, rather than choosing the best tire for handling.

This. Rosie had a 180/55. The Mighty Scura is a better handling bike with the narrower tire.

Damn, may have screwed up. Yeah, you have to run these things on 1 size under, but I could swear 150 was a size under. Just checked the book and it originally came with a 170, so 160 is one undersize.
 
Hope the 150 works ok. Should be interesting. :)
